Resistance Is Everywhere
On the Inescapability of the Danger Zone and Community-as-Resistance

George Lipsitz’s latest monograph explores the dangers of both housing-based and medical discrimination in the United States. He convincingly argues that these dangers are indeed everywhere, lurking not only in the underbelly of inner cities, where many aggrieved racialized groups live and work, but in every place and through every process that is seemingly “race neutral.” When racist danger exists around every corner, what forms of resistance are needed to combat them?
