Abstract

  • Automated email reminders to peer reviewers: The work needed for this may impact other types of processes.  They would like to include this in the work done as part of the OJS upgrade, which will happen later this year (exact schedule TBD). Is this OK with you or is it something you need sooner?
  • Edit descriptions for submission metadata fields: The fields in this list are used to populate the output of the Dublin Core metadata export plugin and are rigidly defined. Thus they can't be edited.  Are there specific fields you wanted to add/data you wanted to collect? Dev can investigate whether it can be collected in other ways.
  • Reviewer confirms they've read the competing interests statement: It's not possible to add a checkbox for this, but they're required to answer the question regarding any competing interests and provide a statement if needed.
  • Edit list of reviewer recommendations: This is not currently editable, but dev found an open ticket to change this in a future release.
  • Change the settings for existing/past sections--the options that appear when I hit "Edit" on a particular section--without messing up the issues that have already been published using those sections: This will have to be tested using content in the Test Journal. I think these changes would apply starting with the date you make them; this is the case for other OJS changes.  But it needs to be confirmed by testing.
